The Doctor of Dental Surgery (Bachelor of Dental Science)is the essential dental degree for general dentistry practice. Program Aim
The Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) program is designed to prepare graduates to become great dentists and industry leaders. On completion of the DDS, students will be able to:
- Develop ethical reasoning and professional responsibility in relation to the academic environment, patient care, practice management, and dental research.
- Demonstrate self-evaluation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills pertaining to comprehensive dental care for patients.
- Promote patients’ oral and systemic health in private practice and the community.
- Diagnose, treat, and/or manage all dental specialties recognized by a general dentist.
