Overview
The main aim of Bachelor of Medical Lab Technology program is to teach students the fundamental medical laboratory techniques used in the labs for clinical chemistry, haematology, blood banks, microbiology, and histopathology. Along with providing candidates with the necessary information and abilities, the programme also trains participants in how to use advanced lab equipment and carry out precise laboratory tests.
Program Aim
After successfully completing the Bachelor of Medical Lab Technology program, the aspirants will be able to:
- Determine whether body fluids like blood, urine, and tissue samples are normal or abnormal by analyzing them.
- Determine the quantity of cells, the shape of the cells, the blood group, blood type, and compatibility with different blood types in blood samples that will be used in transfusions.
- Utilize high-tech laboratory instruments like microscopes and cell counters.
- Use automated tools and electronic instruments that can run several tests simultaneously.
- Record information from medical tests and add findings to a patient’s medical file.
- Discuss with doctors the findings and results of laboratory tests and procedures
